Mass notification wide area sound signals up to 6km / 4 mile
Model K4-1-ENHC Horns
Designed for pole or surface mount, the omni-directional Kahlenberg Model K4-1-ENHC uses a 311Hz frequency, engineered to produce full harmonics up to 12 octaves, to maximise impact whether used as a fire alarm, or mass notification signal. Effective range in still air is 3km radius / 6km diameter. The K4-1-ENHC is heated and the solenoid fitted with an explosion-proof coil.
K4-1-SC-460-230 Air Alarm
The Kahlenberg Model K4-1-EN-H-120 Air Alarm offers the same benefits as the K4-1-ENHC but has the additional convenience of a durable, self-contained weatherproof base unit containing a three-phase air compressor. This means the only connection required for operation is electrical.
K4-1 Air Alarm
The base version of the K4-1 series of wide area alarms offers all the key benefits of this highly capable and rugged mass notification alarm, but without integrated heating or solenoid. As with all versions the Kahlenberg K4-1 Air Alarm can work on air, nitrogen, or CO2. It produces an SPL of 140 ± 1dBA at 1m at a fundamental frequency of 311 Hz ± 10 Hz with audibility of 3.5km in still air.
K4-3 Air Alarm
Similar in concept to the K4-1, but occupying a smaller footprint and operating at a higher pitch, the Kahlenberg K4-3 Air Alarm is rated at SPL141 ± 1dBA at 1m with a fundamental frequency of 470 Hz ± 10 Hz. As with all Model K horns, construction is in cast aluminium with a stainless steel diaphragm in a hermetically-sealed chamber.
K4-5 Air Alarm
The Kahlenberg K4-5 omni directional air horn alarm offers the same mass notification and wide area signal benefits as other models in the K4 range, but is pitched at a higher frequency of 622Hz ±10Hz.
Q3-483-2 Air Alarm
Utilising a very well proven maritime air horn design, the Kahlenberg Q3-483-2 is an extremely powerful omnidirectional air alarm for outdoor use and a viable alternative to large sirens. Construction is in bronze and brass. SPL is 141 dB(A) at 1m with a fundamental frequency of 207Hz.
